We care about the hundreds of thousands of men and women, children, and elderly living in an isolated, walking world – which few even know exists.
Bridging the Gap Africa believes that rural African communities should not suffer from the dangers posed by impassable rivers. Footbridges prevent drowning and ensure safe, uninterrupted access to education, health care, and economic opportunity. Bridging the Gap Africa is committed to building bridges that save lives.
Bridging the Gap Africa envisions a world filled with pedestrian footbridges connecting isolated communities who live in a Walking World.
Being on the Board of Directors
This includes:
Promote and participate in BtGA’s fundraising activities
Attend a monthly one-hour board conference call
Support the strategy, planning, and activities of BtGA
Provide fiduciary oversight and governance
Promote fundraising activities
Be an active member of the Board of Directors
Board members have an open invitation to visit to Kenya to participate in a bridge-building project

Understand the mission/goals and the operating environment
Bring or share your network of people and resources for BtGA
Be a strategic thinker and team player
Be actively involved with BtGA’s efforts
